    The Cinematic Decor :: Grosvenor Cafe :: Glasgow

    Award winning interior design company Surface ID has designed the stunning Grosvenor Cafe located in world renowed Ashton Lane in the West End of Glasgow, London - The venue won the coveted Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2011. 

    The client wanted to transform a staid, underutilized cavernous bar into a multifunctional flexible venue with a real focus on good food, live music and customer choice. Externally, faded warehouse style adverts entice people upstairs, reflecting the building’s historical purpose - Surface ID

    Creative detailing makes the venue completely flexible, with hidden panels transforming into stages and moving boom lights shifting the focus from day to night. Clever use of mirror brings light deep into the space and adds a touch of glamour by dusk.
